Analysis of S.9. S.9, the Senates “Lifetime of Education Opportunities Act of 2005” contains the AMENDMENTS TO THE ADULT EDUCATION AND FAMILY LITERACY ACT in Chapter 2. The Senate did not change their bill. The workforce training and adult education and literacy provisions of S9 are the same provisions as S1627—last years Senate version for the 108th Congress. The adult education provisions are thoroughly analyzed in the Council’s side-by-side prepared for S1627. The Senate used the bill developed by the National Council of State Directors of Adult Education and the National Coalition for Literacy as the base for their bill.
